Brenda spent more than 15+ years in social work and youth development.  She went on to earn her MEd in Special Education from William & Mary and taught students with learning and emotional differences for several years before leading the nonprofit, KidsPriorityOne. She was led parenting education and teacher training in trauma-informed curriculum across the region and served as the Operations and Development Director for a private school in Norfolk.  She is deeply committed to the Horizons  mission and enjoys being a part of a program where students have countless opportunities to explore new paths and feed that spark that drives their innate potential to thrive.
