Community Partners & Our Donors

Every year we work with a variety of community partners to transform the lives of our students.  Together we are committed to helping each student reach their full potential.  Support from philanthropic corporate and foundation partners, public & private schools, community organizations and compassionate volunteers, all come together as a rich network to make our summer and year-round enrichment programs an inspiring success.

How can you partner with Horizons Hampton Roads to change the future of a child?

Horizons works with Corporate and Foundation Donors & Partners

Horizons Hampton Roads only thrives with the support of both Corporate and Foundation grants.  Funding to support quality programming, as well as community service Projects, come together to make our life transforming program possible.  In 2014 & 2016, Horizons Hampton Roads received $10,000 from Cox Charities to grow our summer programs, leading to improved educational outcomes for children living in poverty.  In 2016, Horizons Hampton Roads served approximately 400 children in Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach.

Cox Charities is committed to literacy and providing access to quality education for all children in our region. Cox contributes nearly $8million annually through cash and in-kind support to communities where they do business. Winners of the grants are chosen by Cox employees, based on popular vote. We are the proud winners of $10,000 to support our life transforming summer program. Thank you Cox Communications!

In 2014, Horizons Hampton Roads partnered with Amerigroup to bring a safe, new playground to our Portsmouth site located at Portsmouth Regional Catholic School.  Every summer, Horizons Hampton Roads must be inspected and compliant with the VA Department of Social Services.  Having a safe, well maintained playground for our students is important and a part of their summer learning adventures.
